Carving Santa’s Face Seminar for Intermediate and Advanced Carvers  Instructor, Millard Harrell

Saturday June 28th and Sunday, June 29th, 2008

The seminar will be held Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(12:00 - 1:00 - Lunch Break)   
and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Elements of carving a bearded face will be covered by carving a Santa face
and the face will be completed by using the acrylic tint method. 
Wood for the project will be available at the seminar.

Participants should bring their own sharp woodcarving tools. 
The more complete  the set is, the better, and should include a detail knife and a shaping bench knife.

No matter how hard you try to make them alike, they will always be unique.
Some of the finer detail in carving a Santa face like this has not been included in this tutorial,
but this gives you the basics so that you can begin to carve your Santa in your own style.
